Call for Carbon Dioxide Removal Innovation

This call for innovation is now closed

NorthX has launched Canada’s first CDR funding opportunity, with $3 million in non-dilutive investment available to Canadian-based innovators driving early-stage, hard-tech carbon dioxide removal solutions to decarbonize BC and Canada.

Canada is uniquely positioned to lead global efforts in CDR, thanks to its vast natural resources, strong innovation ecosystem, and world-class academic institutions. British Columbia is poised to play a central role with its thriving cleantech sector and industries, such as mining and forestry, that can drive the advancement in CDR technologies. By fostering national expertise, NorthX aims to bring innovations to BC for integration and scaling.

Affiliates of Shell Canada support NorthX on this innovation call and will consider the purchase of CDR credits from funded companies.1
