Applications for NorthX’s February 2025 Call for Innovation are now open! This investment opportunity can help scale and commercialize your innovation.
Non-dilutive investment will be awarded to projects that align with the following priority areas:
- Low Carbon Bio and Synthetic Fuels – Innovations in synthetic fuel production, advanced biofuel production, and biocarbon products like biochar, bio-oil, and syngas.
- Battery and Energy Storage – Innovative solutions that enhance battery performance, safety, and sustainability.
- Low Carbon Hydrogen – Solutions that promote hydrogen end-use that de-risks hydrogen adoption and create demand.
- Carbon Management – Technologies and practices addressing the mitigation, prevention, and suppression of wildfires.
NorthX invests in solutions that can drive economic growth, create jobs, and position Canada as a leader in clean energy and climate technology. By supporting homegrown innovation, we’re not just addressing today’s challenges but laying the foundation for a resilient and prosperous future.
Historically, NorthX has awarded an average of $700,000 per project to applicants through our innovation calls. Eligible projects include both new technologies and business processes that are at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4-9.
