The NorthX Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) is a registered compliance fund under Canada’s Clean Fuel Regulations. It is an approved compliance option for primary fuel suppliers, who may choose to contribute up to 10% of their annual carbon intensity reduction requirements to an emissions reduction program.
Contributions to the ERF are managed by NorthX and invested in late-stage projects (TRL 7–9) that deliver outcomes aligned with the objectives of the Clean Fuel Regulations.
