Ines Piccinino retired from the British Columbia government in 2023 after more than 25 years as a senior executive leading complex portfolios across energy, environment, climate change, economics, and regulatory affairs in both South and North America. She is a strategic public policy leader known for shaping complex initiatives through deep engagement and negotiation with communities, industry, Indigenous partners, governments, and international stakeholders.

An economist by training, Ines holds a degree from the University of Buenos Aires and has taught economics at the University of Buenos Aires, Camosun College, and the University of Victoria’s Master of Public Administration program. Over her 30-year career, she has consulted for the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Inter-American Development Bank, advising public, private, and non-governmental organizations. In June 2023, she founded Aldea Global Insights, where she continues to provide strategic policy and advisory services.
